The Creative Instigator’s Handbook

I’m thrilled to announce that my new book The Creative Instigator’s Handbook: A DIY Guide to Creating Social Change Through Art is now out.

This new book was written for those who want to use their creative skills to make a positive impact on the word. Each chapter is designed to take the reader through the various stages that they may need to consider when planning an art project designed to affect change.

I consider this new book an epic pep talk - I want you to start that thing that you’ve been dreaming about and my goal within this book is to get you there. Within the pages and case studies, you’ll find there are many ways to start a project…I interviewed 23 incredible artists who each offered their insight and learnings from their own projects. I spoke with people who steward free little libraries, create whimsical modes of transportation, recreate the idea of what manufacturing waste is, design public interventions, and leave behind positive graffiti.

Remember, if you want to start to make something incredible, all you truly have to do is to start. I hope each chapter guides you to the project (or projects) that you really want to see in the world.
